Below is a post I copied from a website I am a member of. They asked that it be shared. It is a VERY IMPORTANT read.

To Kill An American

You probably missed this in the rush of news, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper, an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American.

So an Australian dentist wrote an editorial the following day to let everyone know what an American is. So they would know when they found one. (Good one, mate!!!!)

An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish , Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan.

An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as native Americans.

An American is Christian , or could be Jewish, Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan. The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses..

An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.

An American lives in the most prosperous land in the history of the world.. "The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence , which recognizes the God given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness..

An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need, never asking a thing in return.

"When Afghanistan was over-run by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country!

As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan.

The national symbol of America , The Statue of Liberty , welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America.

Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11 , 2001 earning a better life for their families. It’s been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists..

So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo , and Stalin , and Mao Tse-Tung, and other bloodthirsty tyrants in the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself . Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.

ISRAEL MUST BE PROTECTED BY AMERICA!

WE NEED TO PROTECT ISRAEL!!

As a Christian you know the story of Abraham, then you know the importance and gravity of the fact that America needs to protect Israel!!

If you are not really familiar with the story of Abraham, here is an overall and very general synopsis. The story is found in Genesis. God knew that Abraham was faithful to Him. However, before God carried out His plan for Abraham, He needed to determine that Abraham was truly and completely faithful to Him. God started giving Abraham instructions on where he should go from the land he lived in that was very corrupt. God wanted to lead Abraham to the land of Canaan - which is Israel today.

Abraham followed by his faith and trust in God, except for one time. God told Abraham to avoid Egypt, however, Abraham ended up going there anyway. In short, as a test of Abraham's faith, God sent him to a country that was disparaged by severe famine. Abraham decided on his own to go to Egypt when he witnessed the famine. God was not pleased. Because Abraham sinned against God, God brought great plagues to Egypt. Pharaoh, the leader of Egypt, blamed Abraham for the plagues and forced Abraham to leave Egypt. Abraham came back to his faith and trust in God and began heading to the land that God had spoken of.

From the Bible, this is what God told Abraham about events that would happen if Abraham trusted God:

Genesis 12:1-3 - (1) Now the Lord had said to Abram (before he changed his name to Abraham):

"Get out of your country, from your family and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you. (2) I will make you a great nation; And you shall be a blessing. (3) I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."

We all know that God loved Israel and the Jews. After all, Jesus was a Jew. The above Verse (3) tells the whole story!! God will bless us if we bless Israel, and curse us if we curse Israel.

Need I say more?

This is a great poem that should ring true to all Christians. Maybe along the way, it will win some over to Christianity. Children can say it all.

Ain't

He was just a little boy,
On a week's first day.
Wandering home from Bible school,
And dawdling on the way.
He scuffed his shoes into the grass;
He even found a caterpillar.
He found a fluffy milkweed pod,
And blew out all the 'filler.'
A bird's nest in a tree overhead,
So wisely placed up so high.
Was just another wonder,
That caught his eager eye.

A neighbor watched his zig zag course,
And hailed him from the lawn;
Asked him where he'd been that day
And what was going on.

'I've been to Bible School ,'
He said and turned a piece of sod.
He picked up a wiggly worm replying,
'I've learned a lot about God.'

'M'm very fine way,' the neighbor said,
'for a boy to spend his time.'
'If you'll tell me where God is,
I'll give you a brand new dime.'

Quick as a flash the answer came!
Nor were his accents faint.
'I'll give you a dollar, Mister,
If you can tell me where God ain't.'
